Training

MERRAG offers a variety of disaster survival training opportunities for members of the Montecito community. The training sessions are often conducted by members of the Montecito Fire District in a supportive and non-threatening environment. Two hours of training, one afternoon per month, will provide you with knowledge that will enable you to remain confident in the face of disaster.

Membership

MERRAG has several categories of membership. The Individual / Family membership is $25.00 per year. The Homeowners' Association and Neighborhood Group membership is $100.00 per year, and the Institutional / Business membership is $250.00 per year. All members are encouraged to participate in training as training is the key to preparedness. 

Your MERRAG membership helps to maintain an email database that is used to provde incident updates as well as general disaster preparedness information.  Your membership also provides UHF radios that are dispersed throughout the community, field supplies and other items that may be utilized during an local disaster or MERRAG activation.
